A Venetian luxurious privately owned villa of 540m˛ in the beautiful Venetian village of Maroulas, yet only minutes away from Rethymnon, and 3km from the beaches. Certified by the Greek Tourism Office as a “Luxury Villa 5*”, the villa has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and provides a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, a giant screen, internet WIFI, plenty of material for babies and young children… An outstanding location with a magnificent sea view, providing peace and tranquility for all.

Crete
Crete, cradle of the Minoan civilisation, is the sunniest island of the Mediterranean (more than 300 days of sun per annum), and has a mild climate throughout the whole year. Of all the islands of the Mediterranean, Crete stands out: not just because of its geographical location, but also because of its unique historical, cultural and social identity. Crete is a veritable crossroads between Europe, Africa and Asia. The island offers you dazzling turquoise seas, superb beaches and stunning mountain ranges.

The Villa
The privately owned villa, which is a listed building, has a magnificent sea-view, and is situated on a hillside just 6 km from Rethymnon, in the historic village of Maroulas. It is just 3km from some of the best beaches on the North Coast of the island. The village has been classified as a heritage site. Most of the buildings date back to at least the Venetian era and no new construction work can be carried out without the cooperation of the archaeological department. It is, however, a living, breathing community, too! The village has two tavernas and two kafeneions. There is a bus connection to Rethymnon, twice a day. For visitors arriving by plane, the village is conveniently situated: Heraklion airport is just 80 km away, and Chania airport is even closer – just 60km away.

Our restored 540 m2 villa in the village of Maroulas can accommodate up to eleven people (8 beds + 3). Historically, the building has had various functions : At one point, part of the building used to be a Venetian farm house.

Rates include: House linen, towels, towels for the swimming pool, a daily (except for Sundays) domestic cleaning service, laundry service, heating for the winter, water, electricity, 24/7 ADSL internet connection, WIFI, air conditioning, personal insurance and breakfast of the first morning. Food is not included in case of chief reservation.

Deposit: 30% of the total cost. The balance is due no later that 45 days before your arrival at the property. In addition a security deposit of 500 Euros has to be posted along with the balance due. The security deposit minus the cost of any possible damages will be refunded upon departure.

Cancellation: The current terms supercede any Destination Greece posted Cancellation policy as included in the Terms and Conditions section. All cancellations must be sent to us via e-mail along with the name of the reserving party and dates of reservation. You agreed that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following cancellation fees:
- 4 weeks or more before arrival 30 % (I.e. the deposit posted)
- less than 4 weeks before arrival 100 % cancellation fees
